The VL53L5CPV0GC is a state-of-the-art Time-of-Flight (ToF) multizone ranging sensor that enhances the ST FlightSense product family. Housed in a miniature reflowable package, it integrates a SPAD array, physical infrared filters, and diffractive optical elements (DOE) to deliver superior ranging performance across various ambient lighting conditions and cover glass materials.

  • Autonomous low-power mode with programmable interrupt threshold for host wake-up
  • Ranging capability up to 400 cm
  • Multitarget detection and distance measurement in each zone

  • Histogram processing and algorithmic compensation to minimize cover glass crosstalk
  • Motion indicator for each zone showing target movement patterns
  • Fully integrated miniature module with wide 65° diagonal square field of view
  • 940 nm invisible light VCSEL emitter with integrated analog driver
  • SPAD receiving array and low-power microcontroller running firmware
