Product Description Of ESP32-H21HF4
ESP32-H21HF4 is a low-power wireless SoC designed for battery-operated IoT devices based on Thread, Zigbee, Matter and BT Low Energy. As an incremental evolution of the ESP32-H2 platform, ESP32-H21HF4 integrates an on-chip DC-DC converter to further reduce active power consumption, helping extend battery life in always-connected sensor and control applications. 

 

Features Of ESP32-H21HF4
Low-Power Wireless Connectivity
ESP32-H21HF4 integrates IEEE 802.15.4 and BT Low Energy in a single SoC, enabling Thread and Zigbee -based mesh networking, BT and BT mesh for scalable multi-node deployments, while also supporting low-power point-to-point communication. This makes it an ideal platform for Matter-over-Thread devices, Zigbee sensors, and BLE peripherals.

The addition of an on-chip DC-DC converter improves power efficiency during receive (RX) operation, which is particularly important for sensor nodes that spend long periods listening for network traffic or wake-up events.

Extended Range and Link Reliability
ESP32-H21HF4 supports up to 20 dBm transmit power, enabling improved wireless range and stronger link budgets in dense or interference-prone environments. This capability helps ensure reliable communication for distributed sensor networks and smart-home deployments without compromising power efficiency.

System Architecture and Peripherals
Built around a 32-bit RISC-V microcontroller, ESP32-H21HF4 provides efficient protocol handling and flexible system integration. A comprehensive set of peripherals enables developers to interface sensors, actuators, and user-interface components while maintaining a compact system design.
